Koehler Vineyard

Koehler Vineyard & Winery in Los Olivos evolved from the 1997 purchase of a 100-acre estate with vines up to 30 years old. Sixty-seven acres are planted to Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Grenache, Riesling, Sangiovese, Sauvignon Blanc, Grenache Blanc, Syrah, Mourvedre, and Viognier. The vines are recognized as among the best in the Santa Ynez Valley and surrounding area. The Koehler family allows Feliz Noche Cellars to farm limited quantities of Syrah, Grenache, Cabernet Sauvignon and Riesling on the estate to vineyard manager Felipe Hernandez’ exacting specifications.

Black Oak Vineyard

Owned by Dan and Megan Reeves, Black Oak Vineyard is ten acres in the Los Alamos Valley planted entirely to Syrah. Managed by Felipe Hernandez, this is one of the most sought-after sites in Santa Barbara County for world class Syrah. The yield from the vines, which are planted on an 8 by 4 foot spacing, is held to under two tons per acre to assure high quality fruit. Of the three clones grown on the ranch, Feliz Noche Cellars uses Syrah from the Clone 877 block. The Black Oak fruit blends perfectly with the Clone 877 Syrah from the warmer-climate Koehler Vineyard.

Oak Savanna Vineyard

This 25-acre Los Olivos vineyard, on the northern edge of the Santa Ynez Valley AVA, is owned by New York author and socialite Sandy Hill and managed by Felipe Hernandez. It is the source of Tempranillo, Syrah and Sangiovese for our very successful Feliz Noche Mi Pasión (My Passion) 5-way red blend. Oak Savanna Vineyard is tended exclusively to provide the highest quality fruit for the making of hand-crafted artisanal wines.

Rio Vista Vineyard

Originally settled in the late 1800’s by Portuguese immigrants, the Rio Vista Ranch in the Sta. Rita Hills AVA has been in the Thorne family for over fifty years of raising cattle and farming. Over the years the Thornes and their children rode horses, worked cattle, and earned their keep during the summers on the ranch. Their active involvement with their vineyard finds them on the Rio Vista property with increasing frequency. Feliz Noche sources Pinot Noir from two vineyard blocks at the Rio Vista Vineyard.

Burning Creek Vineyard

The Santa Rita Hills may well be the Grand Cru growing region for Pinot Noir in California, and Burning Creek Vineyard, in the heart of this AVA and nestled among these rolling hills, is ideally situated. A gentle stream running along the vineyard helps moderate its cool ambient temperature. John Krska farms the fruit sourced by Feliz Noche Cellars for our very special Pinot Noir.

Casa Cassara Vineyard

The first Pinot Noir vines were planted on this tiny hilltop estate in 1990 under the guidance of owner Bennie Cassara’s friend and neighbor Bryan Babcock. The sloping property is adjacent to the Casa Cassara Winery, at the end of a long dirt road. With sandy soils and the cool climate of the Sta. Rita Hills AVA, it is ideal for growing Pinot Noir. Feliz Noche Cellars blends the fruit from the Casa Cassara Vineyard with that sourced from Burning Creek Vineyard to produce an exceptional Pinot Noir.
